Definitions are in 資金決済法 第36条の2 (caption 定義): Type 1 (第一種) = 資金移動業 other than Types 2 and 3, no statutory per-transfer cap, and requires 業務実施計画の認可 under 第40条の2; Type 2 (第二種) = only transfers ≤ 百万円に相当する額 (第36条の2第2項 + 施行令第12条の2第1項); Type 3 (第三種) = only transfers ≤ 五万円に相当する額 (第36条の2第3項 + 施行令第12条の2第2項). All types operate under 第37条 registration. CORRECTION: earlier text marked Type 1 as '認可' instead of registration — Type 1 is registered under 第37条 AND needs the 第40条の2 plan approval.
