FAQ
Short answers about how yensend.jp compares remittance providers and what the numbers mean.
Is yensend.jp a remittance provider?
No. yensend.jp is a comparison information service. It does not accept remittance applications, hold customer funds, perform identity verification, or execute transfers. Fund-transfer services are performed by each provider under its own terms. In Japan, a fund-transfer service provider is defined under the Payment Services Act Article 2(5).
How is the ranking decided?
The default order is total cost ascending: sender fee plus the estimated FX margin compared with the mid-market reference used in our Methodology. Partnership or advertising status does not change the ranking.
Where does the comparison data come from?
The live comparison board primarily uses the Wise public comparison API. The Methodology page explains the endpoint, cache policy, freshness labels, and calculation formula.
Will the provider's final quote always match yensend.jp?
No. Displayed values are snapshots and may differ from the provider's final screen because rates, fees, payment methods, promotions, and recipient routes can change. Always confirm on the provider's official site before sending.
Why can a zero-fee transfer still be expensive?
A provider can charge little or no headline fee while using a wider exchange-rate margin. That is why yensend.jp compares total cost instead of only the visible fee.
Can advertising or referral fees affect the order?
No. yensend.jp may receive referral fees or display advertising, but ranking and content are not changed by that relationship. Advertising and partnerships are disclosed separately.
Are official-site links affiliate or tracking links?
Provider links pass through a yensend click-out route. By default they redirect to official provider pages without affiliate parameters. If an affiliate destination is configured, it is handled under the advertising disclosure policy and no personal data, transfer amount, or corridor is added to the outbound URL.
Why are some corridors marked verifying?
It does not mean no remittance service exists. yensend.jp fetches a corridor as live comparison only after the data path, provider filter, and display rules are verified.
How can I report a data issue?
Use the operator contact shown in the footer. Include the corridor, send amount, provider, time viewed, and a screenshot of the provider's official quote if possible.
