Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Policy applies to the international remittance comparison service provided by yensend.jp (the "Service"). The Service does not maintain user accounts and is freely accessible without registration.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the following minimal information: (a) Access analytics via Vercel Analytics (anonymized visit data; no IP address collected), (b) Performance metrics via Vercel Speed Insights (page performance metrics that do not identify individuals), (c) Error tracking via Sentry (production exceptions only; request headers, cookies, and URL query parameters are stripped before transmission). We do not collect names, email addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers, or payment information.

3. Purpose of Use

Collected information is used solely for (1) service quality improvement, (2) site performance optimization, and (3) production error detection and remediation. We do not use this information for advertising, sale to third parties, or marketing purposes.

4. Third Parties / Processors

To provide the Service, we share minimal data with the following processors: (a) Vercel Inc. (USA) for hosting and analytics (Standard Contractual Clauses in place, GDPR-compliant), (b) Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry, USA) for production error tracking, (c) Upstash, Inc. (USA) for exchange rate caching (no personal data). We do not sell or share personal information with any other third party.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

For user convenience, the Service sets only the following three functional cookies: (1) `NEXT_LOCALE`, a session cookie automatically set by the next-intl library when the user manually picks a language via the topbar language switcher; it stores the selected language only for the current browser session and is discarded when the browser is closed; (2) `ys_locale`, set by the automatic IP-based language redirect on first visit, which records the suggested locale so the same automatic redirect is not triggered again on subsequent visits (expires automatically after 180 days); and (3) `ys_geo_seen`, a flag indicating that the automatic language redirect has already run once, ensuring the same redirect is not repeated even if `ys_locale` is deleted (expires automatically after 180 days). All cookies are set with `Path=/` and `SameSite=Lax`, and additionally with the `Secure` attribute in production. The Service itself sets only the functional cookies listed above. If future advertising or affiliate technologies require cookies or similar storage, we will disclose that separately and update this Policy before enabling them. Vercel Analytics uses sessionStorage only for anonymous in-session aggregation and is discarded when the browser is closed. Users may delete these cookies at any time through their browser settings.

6. Your Rights

Under APPI Articles 28 and following, users may request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or deletion of their retained personal data. As the Service does not maintain user accounts, no such retained personal data exists for individual users in principle. We will nonetheless respond to such requests via the contact channel in Section 7.
